- Starting to eat from our plates - Jimmy Johns was his first, then stuff such as bananas, watermelon, potatoes, rice, Easter ham, etc.
- Also had his first yogurt with oatmeal, applesauce, peas, peaches - and the yogurt and oatmeal finally works and he's liking breakfast food. Mid-April Tyson is figuring out jarred food a bit more and can really pack it in if he wants.
- Around April 14 Tyson has really started to scoot or "army crawl". He has continued to do this all month and basically can get everywhere and into everything that way so he doesn't necessarily need to full crawl. By the end of April he crawls on the hardwood floor all over.
- Tyson is now (4/17) able to sit up in his crib before sleeping and just plays - oh no, what do I do? We just let him play till he eventually falls asleep. He's also getting up on all fours (4/19) and even pulled the floor lamp down (4/18) so we are making sure to be watching.
- Waving! Not on command but man it's so cute when it happens - usually in the mirror or when we look out the windows.
- First Easter! Loves playing with the eggs (they had puffs in them) and got a few other toys.
- He's still very shy with family and takes awhile to warm up - usually just stares at whoever is holding him or visiting - or may cry if he's not comfortable with them.
- We are still doing 3 naps a day but they are getting shorter and shorter and he's not as happy when he goes down. Meaning he needs more sleep again maybe but I'm not sure we are ready to go to 2 naps yet.
- Beginning of May Tyson can pull himself to his knees on our low TV table and the first stair. He also likes now as we have started to walk around the house with him, holding his arms. He's a bit awkward but loves it.
- Stretching or reaching to the sky with both arms - so cute! This only happened for a week or two.
- He LOVES: praying before food and saying amen or something similar, loves us chasing him around the house and up/down stairs - he just giggles. He loves the bath still, and is now really into matchbox cars since we gave him one at Easter. He really loves us reading to him (besides the nap/bed reading) and he cries when we put the books away. He also likes the big red exercise ball down where Dad studies.
- Two not so fun parts - Tyson may have a food allergy but not sure, just extra constipation, and then Mom has been having painful nursing off and on for a couple weeks, sad us.
- 9 month appt on 5/12 - 19 lbs 8 oz, 27 and 3/4 inches long, 45.1 cm head (20th percentile for height and weight, 40th for head)

Tyson: 9 months
9 months in and now 9 months out as of May 9, 2014! Wow what a sweet boy we have. His personality just shines more and more each day. It makes me so happy to see him smiling, learning, babbling and loving us. We are so lucky, I think that every day. Here's what Tyson has been up to this last month:

Easter
Just a few, haha, pictures from Easter 2014. Can I just say how much more fun it is with our little boy?!? He is still a little young, but he loved his eggs filled with puffs. And he got a few other items too. The favorite being a hot wheels car.
Lucky to have good neighbors, the Westovers had started dying eggs so we joined to do a few in between our kids playing. Only got egg pics. And then we turned them into deviled eggs. Hadn't really ever done that, or since I was a kid. They were pretty good actually.
And some very cute shots of Tyson before church in his outfit, thanks to the Reynosa family for giving to us as a shower gift.
Love this.
Nom nom nom.
We took a drive to have dinner with the Clark family. We stayed several hours to also do an egg hunt and hang out, so David spent an hour in the storage room rocking Tyson to sleep - go daddy.Tyson loves his Grandpa Clark, despite the hesitant look he's giving here. Just an older daddy, right? Grandpa Clark is very fun and playful with him, cute to watch these men and baby.
The above was like one of 20, took awhile, still not all smiling ;)
Exhaustion or just needing daddy time. And Tyson LOVED the book Grandma Clark gave him. It is one of his favorites - so big he can crawl all over with it. But each letter he has some favorites and just gasps at the G-gorilla and a few others. So glad he loves reading.
HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE!

Tyson: 8 months
Wow we are already to 8 months?! I was way late posting about 7, but even worse at 8... Tyson is our joy as always. We've hit a lot of milestones here during his 7-8 months, and a few more that are going to come very soon. Here's some achievements from 3/9 - 4/9:
- Survived daylight savings time, but naps are now 30-45 min in the day, so we are doing 3 naps a day and we were hoping the naps would get longer, but that is very rare
- Likes squash, carrots, puffs, still hates rice cereal and add oatmeal to the list
- Loves exploring his lips/tongue - will stick his tongue out just slightly and lick his lips or suck on his lips
- Turns his head horizontal to look at us sometimes or on Skype
- Not happy when we take toys (or remote/cell phone) away from him
- Splashes us like crazy in the tub, loves it - starting to try and climb out
- When angry instead of cry he'll yell out DA DO DA DA DA! as of 3/21
- Riding in the grocery cart without his carseat - I'm so happy for this one!
- Still loves to make odd noises - lately it's purring, growling or gurgling
- For some reason he's now hating his changing table and cries when on it
- FIRST TWO TEETH at once! We felt them on 3/28, although we've blamed moods on possible teething for the last 2 months, we didn't realize he was teething till we felt them
- Ate his first puffs - and so cute as he pushes them around his mouth and it falls out or gets stuck on a lip or roof of his mouth, 3/29
- Moving to size 3 diapers, probably weighs around 19 lbs
- Wearing 12 month onesies, the pants are a bit big, tops are small
- Rolling all over the place, but not crawling yet, but very close
