My D

Just a quick spotlight on my #1 and only....

Since Father's Day is in the air..... and just because I want to (since we aren't parents yet).... Here's a bit about my David that makes me smile all the time:

• David is a very busy student, employee, and husband. He does so much for me along with putting in work time at a dental office, studying all his biology and chemistry classes, cooking dinner sometimes, running errands, and even helping me get to bed on time. He's got to be tired sometime right? He only needs 6 hours of sleep he says, I need 8 :) So, it's a hit and miss on who wins the hours they want. Well, one night I walked past our study room and I just had to take a picture. He's so cute....
• David is a COOK. I had no idea when I was dating him or I would have had him cook for us more... but David served in Italy and makes some pretty nice Italian meals. My favorite part about watching him in the kitchen are the SPICES. Whether we are cooking together, he's making something, or even it's just me - he always grabs the spices (which he organized so nicely - he's good at that too) and tosses them in our dish. It always tastes better with all the spice, even though I just have no idea about spices...
• He also would DIE without hot sauce - TABASCO. The late night snack is a tortilla and cheese with Tabasco... yummy... But really everything can have Tabasco and he loves it. I think it must be an acquired taste


• Since we're on the food subject - David also loves pizza. I even like the Italian Pizza :) I'm totally craving it now. Here's him on his mission, Italy has the best food!!
• David LOVES Nintendo. Yep. He's been into it since he was a tiny boy. He still does it when he has down time. I like watching and playing with him too although he's so good I don't know who could beat him. Good thing at least I had some practice with my brother.


• David sort of has a twin - that was born 20 years after him! His little brother Daniel is the exact same as David - in characteristic, looks, Nintendo, etc. David's mom says all the time that they really should have been twins. Its fun for me to see Daniel and know how David was as a child.


• David is such a romantic. I absolutely love it. I find little notes all over the place all the time telling me how much he loves me. I find them in my wallet, in my clothes, in my granola bars, on my computer, on my car... all the time! It's so fun. One that I had to take a picture of was purely a creative masterpiece. He snuck into my house 7 days before we were married and put up a countdown chart as well as a full on note in like 100 stickies. These went up in February and I'm proud to say that Post-its really STICK because we still have them up and haven't tried to keep them up. Awe....
• I love David's little quirks - he's used to shoes always since he had so many siblings with little messes all over. He loves basketball shorts and always puts them on when he gets home. He studies all over the house depending on the day and his mood - it's a surprise for me. He LOVES going on walks with me and being outside. He burns so easily. He loves the swimming pool. He could probably live there if he could. He likes his hair short and is teaching me how to cut it with Shayla.


• David loves candy, chocolate, baking cookies and brownies, and ice cream! He could eat ice cream daily if he could....sounds great to me. Here's him caught licking the spoon :)
• David grew up not having a dishwasher so I've had the pleasure of teaching him! He's actually getting really good at it. He does so many things for me, especially if he gets home early to study, he also does laundry or cooks or dishes...


• His favorite color is red. He goes to the U. I went to the Y. But we love both schools & since he's not too much of a sports watcher, it doesn't matter.


• We had a friend make our wedding favors and we have TONS of left overs still! Luckily it's bubble gum! David loves that, and swallows it a lot, but I still love him. He loves the black ones. He also loves black liquorice and other gross flavors like that. I just wait a bit to kiss him after he eats those :)
• David's such a gentleman. He's the best husband I could have ever wanted. He takes care of me when I fall asleep on the couch and makes sure I get to bed when I need to.


• He's also persistent. Before we were dating, he never gave up on texting, calling and inviting me to activities. He did win me over and I'm hooked forever. I'm so glad he was that persistent. Isn't he just the cutest and the best?? I do say so....

Okay I could write SO MUCH more... but I'll save it for fun posts later on... I love you baby!!
