Annual Boat Trip

July 21st we went boating with our normal crew (from our prior singles ward).  It's +1 so some bring their spouse, others bring a date/friend.  We had 8 this year, which was a little more roomie.  Bro. Linton, from our singles ward, loves the reunion and lets us freely use his boat with him.  We had a few mis-haps this year, but I guess that's normal.  We all survived (a little crispy and sore, but happy).
I don't think I need to remind you that we just LOVE being on a boat.  Someday (dreaming) we'll have one and take any of you good friends/family out with us!  We aren't all-stars, but maybe with a few more trips in a year, we'll get there.  Both David & I got up on the wakeboard - yay baby!!  And then we tubed together too, me requesting to go a little slower than when David & Eric go together.

We go to our normal cove area for lunch and everyone brings a side to share and this year we brought our own sandwiches.  Shayla was in charge of the dessert.  She was VERY sneaky and made me a cake and took it on the boat!  Who's ever eaten a homemade red velvet cake on a boat?!?!?  I have!  We all have!  And it survived even with all the bumps and spins in the boat.  The only thing is we didn't know it was Bro. Linton's b-day in July too, or we would have sang to him :(.  Very cool Shayla, and very yummy too!

And then below are the normal tube battles that happen each year.  D + E and then D + Shayla, but Shayla just screams the whole time.  So the boys did the same thing and copied Julie-Ann and Shayla this time with some high pitched screaming :)
