Guess what? I turned older. Or in a more happy tune, I had a birthday!! I'm not too excited about the whole age thing, but that's life I guess. The rest of the celebrations were wonderful! Thanks to everyone who wished me a Happy Birthday! JULY 22, 2012
Here are some of the things we did to celebrate:
1) Boating the day before - boating is like one of my ALL TIME favorite things to do. And it's even more fun with friends, so it was a blast. And I got cake and sung to, so it was special. That night we rented a movie, one from my past - Liar Liar. Not too proud that I watched that all the time, but it is just funny. And I can pretty much quote it all, guess I watched it a lot as a teenager!
2) Treasure Hunt for my birthday presents - Never told David this, but I love doing treasure hunts for other people, and I got one myself. It was a pretty easy hunt, so I will expect something more dangerous next time, but I mean, it was Sunday... so we were chillin. Here are a few silly pics
I got a double layer cupcake holder with a lid for transport. A whole case of frosting tips (I'm getting into the decor) and a gift card to Red Mango (my favorite frozen yogurt place!)
3) Next up we had dinner at the In-laws, nice for a Sunday relaxation. And they got me a cookbook, yum! And for dinner it was Hawaiian Haystacks and cookies for dessert.
4) Then on Monday we celebrated with a little lunch out and movie date. We had Bennihanas, one of our favorites! And then we saw Dark Knight in the IMAX theatre. Oh, I took the day off, by the way, so that made it wonderful!
5) Tuesday was July 24th and I took that day off too, can't believe my work doesn't give us that holiday! (I know all you non-Utahns are like what is it?? Pioneer Day, we really don't celebrate too much except for watching fireworks though). During the day we relaxed and then David made dinner, my favorite that he does, Chicken Lemon Pesto. And then we drove out to see the Fireworks very close downtown. Since everyone can set those huge fireworks off, I'm a big fraidy cat, but we survived, yay!
6) Packages - I also got birthday packages from my Mom, Lexie, and Dad & Diane. They were all thoughtful and I'm using it all that they sent. Lexie made me a necklace that I'm wearing all the time now! And I got some nice phone calls as well that brightened the day, thanks everyone for calling and wishing me a happy birthday!
