So, one year later we HAD to do it again now as married folks :). We parked around the same area and then also walked and stood right by the baseball field where the fireworks get let off. Last year my request was to be close to feel the vibrations - and it was the best. This year - we did the same thing!! About 10 minutes into the show one of the fireworks blew out. From that same pod of fireworks, it started a fire on those and sent the other fireworks INTO the crowds right around us!! At first the crowd was excited, but as soon as the fireworks started shooting into the crowds, the excitement turned into crazy "end-of-the-world" panic!! I quickly moved out from in front of David to his side, but we watched them shoot on both sides of us through the crowd and into the tree next to us, but nothing straight for us luckily! Only a few shot into the crowds before they got that pod of fireworks shut off. Sirens started and it took a few minutes to get the paramedics to the scene. The fireworks ended earlier and I was definitely scared that it may happen again. It took us awhile to get through the crowds and back to the car - and we wanted to see if anyone was hurt. I was still pretty shook up. We saw on the news later that 10 people were burned or bruised from the impact and that apparently this has happened 3 times in Utah this year and possibly the fireworks need more rules on keeping them held up.
