Is it a little weird that my brother-in-law just turned 8 and we attended his baptism on Aug 6th? Yeah, my siblings were all pretty close to my age, but I'm getting used to young siblings I think - well, they're like nieces/nephews a little... David's twin brother that's 18 years younger than him just turned 8! They seriously look exactly the same if you found David's photos from when he was a little kid. It's a little crazy, but fun for me to see what he looked like in person back then :)
We went over to help David's mom get the after party ready so we cut lots and lots of veggies, fruits, made chicken salad sandwiches, etc. Then, as we were getting ready to leave we had to be there we had an exciting turn of events. (These things always happen for the Clarks...) I went to help Daniel get a white shirt and suit pants. While down there we realized he didn't have any whitey-tighties! Yeah... you need those for when you get baptized all in white - you can't have little mario figures showing up through your whites! So we were in charge of finding some underwear very quickly, and we succeeded. The baptism was a nice experience with family/friends. Everyone came and celebrated with Daniel as he was making this great choice to follow the Savior and continue his experience in the gospel. Great job Daniel!
Afterwards we stopped in to visit Grandma Ginny who's turning 95 this year! We decided balloons and an afternoon out would be a great present... and I was right, she LOVED the balloons. She's just like a kid getting so excited to see them and how big they were. It made me happy to make her so happy. Then we took her to Sears (used to be her favorite store) and walked her around just to get her out. She requested a hamburger so we took her to In & Out also! Yay for Grandma! We had to remind her several times we were celebrating, but I know she was happy no matter what the occasion was, just getting out and hanging with David & I. Wish we had time to do that all the time. Without David it's too hard for me to take her with me so I can only just stop by. We'll do it again soon.
