We tagged along for only a day - crashed their week long vacation at Bear Lake - and had a BLAST! We drove up Thursday evening (Aug 4th) and spent the night at their condo. David finished school on Tuesday of this week so he's finally FREE for two+ weeks! What a great way to start it out...
We watched movies and then woke up the next day to pancakes and eggs from Tony, games with Sarah and then we hopped the street to drop the boat in the water! We spent some of the day out on the boat until Sean broke his nose while tubing, so we parked at the beach and had lunch and relaxed for awhile. Then the girls took the boat (okay David came too) but Steph and Shelly and myself just wanted to ride around so we did just that. And then we all hopped in the beautiful water to just swim around. It was nice and warm and just relaxing. Ahh... Best part of the day.
Ah beautiful....
Steph got a fake tattoo and her kids dared her to get her hubby's name up her arm, hilarious!Okay and another good part was that it was Raspberry Days at Bear Lake so they had a fair that I just needed to peruse and check for fun gifts or something to take home. Well, we found some homemade raspberry jam! And coconut earrings :) And then after saying our goodbyes (we had to get home for Daniel Clark's baptism) we drove home Friday night with their famous raspberry shakes that evening.
In our future plans we hope to spend a week or more their with our kids - boating, checking out the little town, playing on the beach, swimming at the pool, watching movies... Bear Lake is beautiful - I could maybe do Park City if we were close to Jordanelle, but at the same time, I like being a little further away from it all.
Sounds like a blast!!!
