Oldest Fireworks Ever

How old of fireworks have you shot off before????

Well I'm pretty sure we win for having the OLDEST FIREWORKS SHOW EVER!!!?!?  You're probably like, huh?  Here's the story... It's New Year's Eve and we had just arrived at Mom's house a couple hours before midnight.  While sitting there Mom brings out this cardboard box and says she has some fireworks we could use.  Really??? They have fireworks in Arizona???  So apparently the AZ laws have loosened up a bit and allowed some fireworks according to Mom.  I start searching the web to make sure she's correct and that we don't get in trouble :)  I guess they now allow sparklers in Tempe...hahah thats not fireworks!  Well, we wanted to get more info from mom about these fireworks and when she got them and had known we'd want to do them?

Us: So Mom, where did you buy these? AZ has them now?
Mom: Yeah AZ is selling some now, but I actually got these in Utah.
Us: Really? And then you brought them back?  When?
Mom: Well, one of my visits I bought them and then I shipped them back to me.
Us: What? (Shipping fireworks??!?!? I'm sure that's a problem) When did you get them in Utah?
Mom: I can't remember, several years ago.  I just found the box the other day in the house.
Us: What? (Re-occurring theme) Wow, so what types of fireworks are they?
Mom: Lets take them outside and find out.... Backyard just to be safe with the law
Us: No thanks mom!  They are probably too old to work, plus the trees and grass, probably not the best idea.
Mom: Okay, you guys are boring! (Way to go mom for being brave)
Us: After she was already outside setting up... Okay...
Mom: (as she's setting them all up in the grass) So, I found the receipt in the box, they're from 1992.
Us: 1992!!!!?!?!?!?!?!?  Oh my gosh, they are 20 years old!!!  I can't believe you've had those just hanging around for that long.
Mom: You guys going to help?
Us: No, we'll watch (David had the hose out...)

And then... so they worked!!  We were pretty shocked!  We had all the good old fireworks from when I was a kid - spinners, screamers, parachute launchers, ground fountains, etc.!

Mom totally showed us up for not worrying about the age of the fireworks, and that we were in AZ, fires easily start there.  That wasn't an expected way to bring in the new year, but fun!
