What a good day. Tyson was blessed on Sunday October 13, 2013. Just a little over 2 months old, and we are back at church! As members of the LDS church, we get the opportunity to bless our babies in sacrament meeting, usually Dads do this for their babies, and get to give them their name for the church records and also bless them with many great things ahead of them. We had a lot of family attend church with us, we are very blessed to have had them come.
David gave Tyson his blessing which was a very special experience for him, and for me to watch. Tyson was in his white outfit and very cute smiling at all the family around him while waiting. Then during the blessing he was good to just pay attention quietly to his dad talking to him. Very sweet. David blessed Tyson with many good things in life including health and someday a family of his own. I wrote them all down in our journal so we wouldn't forget. After the blessing I bore my testimony, and barely made it through without crying as I just was overwhelmed with joy and amazement that the little boy just blessed was truly mine, and me his mom. We sure love him a lot and are just excited to watch him now and help him grow up.
After the blessing we invited all our family and friends over so we could spend more time with them. Thank you to our families for bringing food and helping us feed all of us! It was great to see our home so full and happily enjoying and passing Tyson around.
