Tyson: 2 Weeks

Tyson: The first 2 weeks

• At the hospital: Lots of visitors, first bath, long nails already - got out the gloves, first outfit, Dad went with you for your circumcision
• Came home together for the first time - so surreal
• LOTS of visitors to see him
• Extra bilirubin test, but he passed, just sad to watch!
• He smiles after eating, especially if you poke his cheek, then shows his dimples
• Sleeping: Ty sleeps every 2-3 hours but a little less at night, Mom and Dad switch off to rock but Mom is there longer to feed him, Dad is a great rocker
• First few days at home Ty slept a lot in the day still - spent time with Aunt Brooke and Grandma Clark in the day when Mom was resting or visiting the Dr.
• Dr visit again for inflammation, but he was okay, Mom did the visit by herself
• Dad keeps getting peed on :)
• Mom got it one morning too
• One funny pee was when both of us were there changing him and he started peeing.  Dad caught it in his hand to keep it from going everywhere and had to keep his hand there for a very long time because he just kept going and going!  Then stopped, David moved his hand, and Ty started again, letting Mom get her hand covered next!  We laughed hard at that one.
• Speaking of changing, many times while changing, he'll go #2, so we sometimes use 2-3 diapers before we're ready to put his clothes back on
• First bath at home 8/13 = trauma! David did great, Mom took pictures - but Tyson just cried and we realized we had no idea how to do it properly (without getting some stuff wet and such)
• Likes his hair being combed, but not having your head touched
• Tyson has to wear mittens/gloves so he doesn't scratch himself - they are on always
• So many facial expressions already!!
• Mouth makes an "o" means you're peeing
• Really big yawns
• Eyes rolling from side to side and to the back of head when falling asleep
• One night no sleep at all - we called the Dr, but he finally slept
• After crying for a LONG time Tyson looses his voice, it's sad but cute :)
• First trip out as a family to the Dental White Coat Ceremony at 1 week old
• Other outings - Tapp Reunion, Amber's shower, Target
• Mom got sick, Tyson has stomach ache more now because of the pills
• Dad got a cold sore and started school the first day we were home
• Grandma Kathy visited during week 2
