Tyson: 1 Year Old

Tyson, you are a year old!!!  We stayed up till midnight to ring in your birthday, while you sawed logs of course ;)  Can't believe it, yet it makes sense, he's growing older.  I didn't cry to much because I've just been excited for him to walk, talk more and just do all the fun things he will want to do and take for granted someday.  I thought age 6 months was cute, and it is, but getting to 12 months is also way cute.  So far we have enjoyed every age just differently.  Tyson grew a lot this time from July - August.  Here are a few things so ya know he's definitely becoming a little boy, our baby is growing up.

• First steps! July 11, 2014  Walked to daddy after a nap
• Doing this really loud silly fake laugh
• Bottle: We started mixing small amounts of whole milk into formula because this kid didn't like the taste at first, so by the time he turned 1 he actually likes it
• Food: Not eating jar food as much so we are testing lots of new food and making sure we all are eating more fruit and veggies.  We only buy a couple fruit jars to mix with his rice cereal now.  Veggies are hard to figure ones he likes.  He's kind of picky on them unless he is the one holding the utensils.
• New words – baby, book, egg, door, two, three – still saying red, blue, mail, woof, etc.
• 22 lbs, 30 inches long at 12 month appointment
• In size 4 diapers and 12-18 month clothes, 2T shirts too
• Loves – the piano, wooden dowel, stuffed animals, dogs
• Still doesn’t like – bananas, his changing table, loud noises or lots of people
• Fake coughs to get a reaction
• Getting okay at walking on grass – texture issue
• Lots of little visitors this month sharing toys, he’s not sure
• First long babysitting with Brooke & Autumn at home
• First fireworks July 24^th – yikes!
• Made his first candy note to Mom for 30^th B-day
• First sucker on 8/8
• Almost first zoo trip on 8/8                                                                           
• Sleeping – using his swaddle blanket as a blanket now and calls it “B”
• After waking up he loves pointing to his books and reading them
• Into mischief – opening cabinet doors,
• Full walking and still going upstairs by 1 year
• Lots and lots of babbling that is so cute
